Baldy Mesa Studios is located in the high desert of Southern California and owned and operated by John F. Heusler, G.G.

John has been making jewelry and cutting stones for over 55 years. A St. Louis native, he owned and operated a fine jewelry store in the greater St. Louis area for over 20 years. Additionally, he is a Graduate Gemologist and is well-known for his gemstone and lapidary expertise. His work has appeared on the cover of Jewelry Arts Lapidary Journal over 10 times and he has been published numerous times in various publications.

He teaches classes on lapidary techniques such as cutting cabochons, inlay, and intarsia.
